The four elements treatment
Education for the Pirts Spirit four elements treatment is delivered exclusively in Latvia, where you can fully immerse yourself in the unique offerings of Latvian land, tradition, and culture. This one-to-one education is structured across four progressive levels, each building on the previous one to introduce new and exciting skills that you can bring back to offer your guests.
As you advance through the levels, the treatments you learn will become longer and more intricate. You will explore the physiological and energetic properties of various plants, herbs, and trees used in Pirts, how to use scrubs and honey in the treamtent, learn to read your guest’s internal processes to work more effectively with them, and master the safe delivery of hot and cold contrast procedures by learning effective steam techniques and cooling methods to support their intentions.
You are required to complete practice hours in order to progress to the next levels and upon completion of Level 4, you will earn the title of Pirts Spirit Master, where you will be equipped with not only the knowledge and skillset to perform the 1-1 pirts spirit treatment but also the softer skills to be able to create a caring and comfortable environment for your guest.

What you will learn
Level 1
The Pirts Spirit Air Experience
Duration: 5 days
Location: Ziedlejas, Latvia
Key Learnings:
Learn and experience the Pirts Spirit Air Experience
Introduction to Latvian Pirts culture and philosophy
Understanding temperature & humidity and bringing nature into Pirts
Four elements introduction in Pirts rituals (earth, water, air, fire)
Introduction to birch whisk preparation and usage
Pirts Spirit code of ethics and procedural knowledge
Learn to give the 50 minute Pirts Spirit Air experience and practice in the Glass, Woolen, Smoke Pirts
Home Practice: 20 hours (1-hour sessions)
Requirement to Proceed: Completion of home practice and guest signature
Level 2
THE Pirts Spirit fire Experience
Duration: 5 days
Location: Ziedlejas, Latvia
Prerequisite: Level 1 + home practice
Key Learnings:
Fire rituals and how to incorporate the fire element into Pirts
Learning the Pirts Spirit Fire Experience and practice in the Glass and Woolen Pirts
Introduction to energetic steam techniques and smoke rituals
Harvesting and binding oak whisks
Body scrub preparation and exfoliation techniques
Use of plant hydrosols and learning anatomy and physiology in the Pirts context
Knowledge of 9 magical herbs used in Pirts
Procedures and techniques to refine your Pirts Spirit rituals
Home Practice: 20 hours (1-hour sessions)
Requirement to Proceed: Completion of home practice and guest signature
Level 3
THE Pirts Spirit water Experience
Duration: 5 days
Location: Ziedlejas, Latvia
Prerequisite: Level 2 + home practice
Key Learnings:
o Mastering the Water element and refining ritual practice
o Water-focused Pirts rituals, including floating practices (guided by a professional)
o Breath ritual and techniques for relaxation through steam techniques
o Further practice of Woolen and Glass Pirts
o Harvesting and binding linden whisks and herbs
o Preparing honey, soap, and clay applications for guests
o Teas in Pirts and guest introduction/application process
o The use of amber in rituals
o Meditation and breathing exercises to enhance the Pirts experience
Home Practice: 10 hours (1-hour sessions)
Requirement to Proceed: Completion of home practice and guest signature
Level 4
THE Pirts Spirit Earth Experience
Duration: To be announced
Prerequisite: Level 3 + home practice
Focus: Mastery of the Earth element and final certification
Key Learnings:
Presentation: Students present their Pirts Spirit treatment to the Pirts Masters of Latvia, demonstrating a deep understanding of all elements: air, fire, water, and earth.
Binding and Harvesting Maple Trees: Incorporating maple’s grounding properties into rituals, symbolizing balance and renewal.
Breathing techniques to connect with the earth’s energy, promoting calm and balance in self
Using Latvian drums to enhance spiritual depth and create meditative energy
Stone and Crystal Integration: Incorporating healing stones and amber into Pirts rituals for energy alignment and chakra balance.
Celebration and Certification:
Certification will take place in Latvian nature, with Pirts Masters, fellow students, and guests.
A ceremonial birch tree planting symbolizes the growth of the Pirts tradition.
A shared ritual ceremony will unite the group, showcasing mastery and unity.
