Latvian Whisks
All whisks from Pirts Spirit are meticulously collected in Latvia during the peak season when the trees are at their fullest growth and blossom. Each type of tree has its own ideal collection period within the early summer window. For example, birch is typically harvested around June, whereas oak and linden are harvested a little later in July/August.
Harvesting at the optimal time ensures that the leaves are fully grown, vibrant, tender, and rich in aromatic properties, resulting in the highest quality whisks.
In keeping with Latvian tradition, we express gratitude to the trees by saying "thank you" or "paldies" in Latvian for donating their beautiful branches. Each branch is collected with love and care for nature, adhering to our philosophy of sustainability and respect. We only take what is necessary, never stripping the tree completely or taking from the tips, ensuring the tree can regenerate and remain healthy.

After collection, the leaves are made into whisks, carefully bound together, and dried in a cool, shaded, and well-ventilated area to preserve their fragrance and therapeutic properties. To further support nature, we use no plastic packaging in the shipping of the whisks.
Every year, we visit our suppliers to oversee the process and ensure the quality of the whisks being shipped to you remains high. This commitment guarantees that you receive the finest products, crafted with respect for nature and tradition.
